There are many things that can affect the colour of a person’s teeth.

If you need that caffeine fix, then try and drink you dark coloured drinks through a straw. Green tea staining is worse than normal tea or coffee. If they become sensitive or sore, then stop! This is fantastic to place onto your gums if they become sore due to overfilling your trays with whitening gels, or any previous inflammation that may have been present Less is more – as the video explains, don’t overfill your trays with whitening gels. Topping up your whitening after hygiene appointments will get you the best result. Place sensitive toothpaste in your trays either before or after whitening to help with any sensitivity that may occur (separate to your whitening gel!). This can be to maintain your new white teeth or to top them up for events such as a wedding or a party. Top-up whitening gels will be available for purchase at DHA for when you need them. After this you can do as little or as much whitening at home as you like, depending on what result you would like to achieve and your lifestyle. So, after 2-3 weeks of daily whitening (ideally), we will get you back into the clinic to assess the progress you have made and discuss any complications that may have occurred if any.
